Chris Gates has served the healthcare and medical communities since 1994 with award-winning design and illustration.
Chris’s passion for biomedical interaction started when he worked in a software development lab in the mid 90s. He had been doing standard medical illustration up to that point, working with some great doctors and staff.
But the new media introduced at the software lab really changed his direction to one of more robust presentation and interaction. Chris knew its impact on future media would be great.
A fantastic guitar player and deep lover of all kinds of music, Chris follows other passions too. He’s a regular participant of a Portland-area life drawing studio, and is a bike and transportation advocate. His kids Jen and Matt lead full lives, of which Chris feels lucky to have them in his life.
