SURGICAL & ANESTHESIA SERVICES

  • Ran OR front desk, assisted with personnel scheduling, and retrieved and returned medical records.
  • Maintained stock of and prepped video equipment, instruments, suture and surgical supplies.
  • Maintained ESU (electric and gas) and supplies and ordered blood and blood gases.
  • Worked with OR and video, instrument, surgical equipment sales representatives.
  • Facilitated and coordinated equipment used in and between surgical cases.
  • Procured and organized equipment, instruments and surgical supplies.
  • Cleaned and sterilized instruments and assembled instrument trays.
  • Opened and cleaned rooms, ordered supplies and stocked rooms.
  • Prepped anesthesia set-up for cases and stock anesthesia carts.
  • Enter pathology specimens into computer, transported frozen section specimens to pathology.
  • Assisted with endoscopic (GI lab, laparoscopic,  and ortho cases), open, and post cases.
  • Maintained autoclave compliance.
  • Assisted in OR and Anesthesia departments, GI lab, pre- and post-op recovery PRN.

 

PATIENT CARE

  • Assisted with patients in admitting, pre-op and post-op recovery PRN.
